The Daily Mirror have mapped out United's dream XI for next season, having appointed Dan Ashworth as their new sporting director. And it includes no fewer than three new signings, with Rashford nowhere to be seen.

United's potential new signings are as follows: Bologna's Zirkzee, PSG's Manuel Ugarte and Bayern Munich's Matthijs De Ligt. Due to PSR complications, the club may be limited in their spending power, but are looking to upgrade the spine of the team at Old Trafford, with Ashworth presenting his plans to INEOS.

United have yet to add to their first-team squad this summer but will hope to do so soon as they prepare for the 2024/25 season. One piece of business that has been done is the extension of Erik ten Hag's contract.
